Ann Helms Smith, age 77, of Hallsboro, NC, died Monday, December 7, 2020. She was born on April 15, 1943 in Columbus County to the late Bill Helms and Retha Newman Helms. In addition to her parents, Ann is predeceased by her husband; Fred Smith, a daugther; Peggy Setters, and two sons; Ricky Smith and Tommy Hill.

Ann worked as a substitute teacher for the Elementary and Middle Schools in Hallsboro. She was owner and operator of Magnolia Seafood for many years. She was a member of the Hallsboro Church of God.

She is survived by her 2 Granddaughters; Christina Marie Setters Riggs (Ryan) of Hampstead, NC and Ashley Ward of Wilmington, NC, and 2 Great Grandchildren; Kaleb Riggs and Liam Riggs.
