Whiteville: Priscilla Ann Phillips, 63 of Whiteville passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 1, 2017 . She concluded her journey at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville. She was the daughter of Gladys Formyduval Phillips and the late W. J. Phillips . She was a member of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Whiteville. Priscilla was a faithful and beloved daughter, sister and aunt as well as a teacher at Columbus Christian Academy, retiring in 2016 due to declining health. She served thirty-six years as third and fourth grade teacher, and as Elementary Supervisor and Principal for a number of years.
Survivors include her Mother, Gladys Formyduval Phillips of Whiteville, sisters; Mary Phillips Bullard ( Mike) of Whiteville and Belinda ( Lin) Phillips Moore of Whiteville. In addition she has one niece and two nephews as well as seven grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 4,2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Bobby E. Phillips, Rev. David Kelly and Rev. Justin DuBose officiating with burial following in the Powell Cemetery, Fair Bluff,N.C.
Visitation will be Tuesday night at McKenzie Mortuary from 7-9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Columbus Christian Academy, Whiteville, N.C. or Ambassador Camp, Lake Waccamaw, N.C.
