Marilyn Leona (Hewett) Ward

Marilyn Leona Hewett Ward, 85, of Hallsboro, NC passed away November 20, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville, NC.
She was born in Horry Co., SC, the daughter of the late Napoleon and Lula Pridgen Hewett.  She was preceded in death by husband, Early Sarvis Ward and two sons, Jimmy Wayne and Jackie Wade Hewett.  She was a member of the Whiteville Church of God and had retired from Whiteville Apparel.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Earl Ward, Cecil and Raymond Ward all of Lexington, NC; daughter, Evon W. Boren of Whiteville, NC; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 pm Friday, November 24, 2017 at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with a funeral service at 3:00 pm.  Officiating will be Rev. Derrick Howard.  Interment will follow in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
