Whiteville: Lydia Esther Maldonado Vazquez, 87 of Whiteville died Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.She was the daughter of the late Angel Maldonado and Joba Maldonado. She was preceded in death by a son, Carlos Edgar Vazquez.

Survivors include her husband, Juan Jose Vazquez of the home. Daughter, Janet Pamela Vazquez Austin of Whiteville, N.C. sons, Robert Elihu Vazquez of Georgia, Aldwin Vazquez of California and Eric Aron Vazquez of Florida. 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
