Linda W. Ward

N. Myrtle Beach : Linda  W. Ward, 72 of N. Myrtle Beach formerly of  Whiteville died Tuesday, February 26,2019 . She was the daughter of the late Harvey Richard Ward and Jewel Mae Canady Ward. She was a present member of First Baptist Church in N. Myrtle Beach and was a former member of First Baptist Church in Whiteville, N.C.  She was a Primary teacher in the Whiteville  City School System for many years.  

Survivors include her husband;  Phillip Thomas Ward of the home. Daughter, Elizabeth Ward Hall (Dennis) of Maple Grove, Min., son Tom Ward ( Tamera) of Holly Springs, N.C., sisters, Nancy Hewett (Jerry)  of Courtland, Va. and Betty Friesland ( John) of Leland, N.C., brothers, Lloyd of Whiteville, N.C. and Rusty Ward ( Donna) of Chadbourn, N.C., Three Grandsons, Joe Ward, Josh Ward and Ajax Hall and one Grandaughter, Erin Hall.

Funeral Service will be Friday, March 1, 2019  at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Whiteville with Dr. Roger Gilbert and Rev. Ron Hinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbus Memorial Park.

Active Pallbearers: David Coble, Jerry Sellers, Wayne Barker, Byron Ward, John Friesland and Chris Hewett.

There will be a reception / visitation in the church fellowship hall from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m.  prior to the service.
