Lillian Gray Jones

Lillian Gray Jones of Lake Waccamaw, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Whiteville, NC.  Lillian was born on February 24, 1933 to the late Charlie J. Jones, Sr. and the late Effie Stevens Jones. 

She worked for 43 years as Insurance Clerk in the Personnel Department at Federal Paper. She was a member at Lake Waccamaw United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister; Kathleen Jones and two brothers; Charlie J. Jones, Jr. and J.C. Jones.

Lillian is survived by a sister; Doris J. Sealey of Lake Waccamaw, 3 nieces; Bobbie Austin (Ray) of Suffolk, Va., Patty Hobbs (Billy) of Lake Waccamaw, and Catherine Cook (Bud) also of Lake Waccamaw, a nephew; Mike Jones (Betty) of Wetumpka, Alabama, and several great nieces & great nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019, at 11:00 am at Lake Waccamaw United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck Smith officiating.  Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lake Waccamaw following the service. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 am prior to the service, at the church.
