Joyce Ann Clewis

Whiteville: Joyce Ann  Clewis,  73 of  Crusoe Island died Friday, October 27,2017 at the Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville. She was the daughter of the late Edmond Alonzo Clewis and Iva Navada Long Clewis. She was preceded in death by a son, Edmond Alan Clewis and a brother, Charles Edmond Clewis. She worked with the Northwest  Textile Company in the shipping dept. She was a member of  Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include  her husband;  Johnson Delbert Clewis of Crusoe Island. Daughter; Sandra Etheridge ( James Ervin )  of Crusoe Island, Son; John Eric Clewis (Terri  Powell Clewis) of  Whiteville  ,N.C. Grandchildren ; Charles Ervin Etheridge (Sunny Fowler) of Whiteville,NC , Heather Nicole Jernigan (  Gary Dean Jernigan, Jr.) of Ash, N.C. and James Bradley Etheridge of Crusoe Island, Mike Powell & Family of Longwood, Amanda Lisenby & Children of Nakina, N.C., Jesse  Powell & Family of Whiteville,N.C., Chris Powell & Family of Raleigh, N.C.,Devan Tyler Clewis & Alan Chase Clewis , both of Whiteville, N.C.; Great-Grand-daughters, Ava Elizabeth & Avery Elyse Etheridge  , Nephew ;  Charles Kenneth Clewis  & Family  of Wilmington, N.C. , Niece; Donna Clewis Mills & Family of Wilmington, N.C. and a Sister-In-Law ; Louise Overman of Wilmington, N.C.

Funeral Service will be Monday, October 30,2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church with James Ervin Etheridge officiating  with burial following in the Clewis Cemetery, Crusoe Island .
Visitation will be Monday at the Church  from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m.  prior to the service.
