John Curtis Batten , Jr.

Whiteville: John Curtis Batten, Jr. 75 of Whiteville died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville, N.C. He was the son of the late  John Curtis “ J.C.” Batten and Kathleen Baldwin Batten. He was a member of White Marsh Baptist Church.  He worked with Lowe's in Whiteville for over 32 years as their Warehouse Supervisor. He was a member of White Marsh Hunting Club for over 35 years. Survivors include his wife, Reba Cartret Batten of the home. Son, John C. Batten, III of  Oak Island, N.C. , daughter, Tonya Batten of Morehead City, N.C. and a sister, Nancy Batten of Whiteville, N.C.
Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Ray Yow and Dr. Ray Thigpen officiating .
