George " Bob" Robert Powell

Whiteville : George " Bob " Robert Powell, 73 of Whiteville died Friday, November 1, 2019 at  Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville, N.C.. He was the son of the late China Yates Powell, Sr. and Louise Richardson Powell, and was preceded in death by a  son, Jonathan Chase Powell and a brother, Jerome Powell  . He worked in the construction business as an  electrician for over 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Powell Powell of the home.  sons;  Justin Davis Powell (Kimberly) of  Lake Waccamaw, N.C. and Robert M. Powell (Jill) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., brothers, C.Y. Powell, Jr. of Hallsboro, N.C., Louis Powell of Hallsboro, N.C., Gary Powell of Whiteville, N.C., Joseph Powell  of Leland, N.C. and a sister, Gretel P. Griffith of Apex, N.C.,  two Grandchildren, Robert Powell, Jr. and Karli Powell.

Pall Bearers will be Grayson Powell, Kevin Powell, Kendall Powell, T.J. Wilson, Weston Chandler, and Justin Stancil.

Graveside Service will be Monday, November  4, 2019 at Whiteville  Memorial Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.  with Yates Powell, IV officiating . Visitation will be at McKenzie Mortuary on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
