Frances Pauline Melton Blackburn

Whiteville: Frances Pauline Melton Blackburn, 79, died Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville, NC.
She was born in Darlington, SC on June 27, 1938, the daughter of the late Eddie Melton and Mahaley Boykin Melton. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren ; Stacy Renee Jones and Shawn William Thompson.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Jones of Statesboro, GA, and Joel Jones (Lucy) of Whiteville, NC; three daughters, Ann Becker  (Frank) of Whiteville, NC, Sandra Thompson of Chadbourn, NC and Janice Cribb of Lake City, FL; sister, Mabelle Thomas  of Darlington, SC; eleven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday at McKenzie Mortuary in Whiteville, NC.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Flynn Cemetery in Whitevile, NC with Rev. Wallyce Todd officiating.
