Donald Edwin Fortson

Bolton: Donald Edwin Fortson 77 of Bolton died Monday 12/04/2017. He was preceded in death by his Mother Henrietta Lacont and Father Jack Fortson and wife; Mary Catherine Hester Fortson He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and later began a career in truck driving that lasted over ten years. During this time he has been a member of the Bolton Baptist Church in Bolton, NC
.
Survivors include Daughters, Julie F. Cook of Sherrills Ford, NC and Cheryl F. Patterson of Newton, NC; Sister, Martha F. Martin of Cleveland, NC;  Brother, John William (Bill) Fortson  of Statesville, NC;  Granddaughters, Breana Cook of Sherills Ford, NC and Aleena Patterson of Newton, NC;  Grandson, Canon Patterson of Newton, NC.

Graveside service at Oak Grove Original Freewill  Baptist Church Cemetery Saturday December 09, 2017 @ 11:00 am with Rev. Sterling Sarvis officiating .
