Claudia Clark Batten

Claudia Clark Batten, 88 died peacefully at home April 4th, 2019. She was born July 27th 1930 the daughter of Nash and Annie Clark of Council N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband; Floyd Batten, daughter; Freida Elizabeth Batten, brother; Elmo Clark , sisters; Rena Clark and Goldie Sargent.

She attended church at Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church

She is survived by six children, Raeford Batten (Deborah), Wanda Bowen (Phillip), Glenn Batten (Cheryl), Cynthia Walters (Curtis), Ricky Batten (Kim) all of Whiteville, N.C., Wayne Batten (Sonya) of Lake Waccamaw, NC and one sister, Marjorie Priest of Council, NC. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted by Reverend Chris Carlisle on Sunday April 7th at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel at 4:30 pm. Visitation will be held from 3pm to 4:15 pm before service. Interment will be held at Flynn Cemetery.
