Betty Lou Powell Memory

Whiteville:  Bettie Lou Powell Memory 87 of Whiteville died Friday, October 13,2017 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Powell and Flora Bruton Powell and was preceded in death by her husband, William (Billy) E. Memory and sister; Frances  Cook Powell  and nephew, David Cotton Cook. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of Whiteville City Council for over 12 years. She was a Co-owner of Memory Enterprises  for over 50 years.                                                        
Survivors include her sons; William  ( Bill)  E. Memory (Patti) of Whiteville, N.C. and Michael Powell Memory ( Janice) of Whiteville, N.C., Three Grandchildren; Beau H’ebert Memory (Ashley) of Cary, N.C., Tate Carter Memory of Greenville,N.C. and Madeline Long (Chris) of Hertford,N.C. Seven Great-Grandchildren , Four Nieces and One Nephew.
Funeral Service will be Monday, October 16,2017 at 2:00 p.m.at the Whiteville First Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Clore and Rev. Kerry Peeler officiating with burial following in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery
Visitation will be Monday, October 16,2017  from 1:00 -1:45  in the Church Parlor  prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice  or First Baptist Church History Room.
The Family will receive friends at the Memory residence ( 210 Pine St.) on Sunday afternoon  from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m.
