Alfred Earl Long

Whiteville: Alfred Earl Long, 69 of Whiteville died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Whiteville. He was the son of the late Minnie Rogers Long and John Leamon Long. He was a member of Cypress Creek Original Freewill Baptist Church. He worked in Construction as a Carpenter for over 25 years.

Survivors include his Wife, Joyce Hathway of Whiteville, NC, Sons; Joseph Earl Long (Diane) and John Albert Long (Christina) both of Whiteville NC. , Sisters; Dorothy Long Robbins of Whiteville NC, Betty L. Barkley of Whiteville NC, Sheila L. Gore of Tabor City NC, Ore-Lee Watkins of Baltimore MD, Brother; James Aaron Long of Whiteville, NC, Grandchildren; Austin Jernigan, Colby Jernigan, Remington Long, Austin Blackmon, Mariah Long, Clarissa Long, Amber Long and Two Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Saturday September 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeff Barton and Rev. Eddie Carter officiating. Visitation will be Friday from   6-8 pm at McKenzie Mortuary. Burial at Hosea Simmons Cemetery.
