William Randolph Boswell

William Randolph Boswell, age 83, of Whiteville, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Columbus Regional Healthcare.  William was born in Columbus County on October 12, 1938 to the late Ned Boswell and Mary Elizabeth Norris Boswell.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother; Jerry Ned Boswell.

William worked in farming on his own farm.  He served his country in the National Guard. He was a member of Highest Praise Pentecostal Church and New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife; Laverne Britt Boswell of Whiteville, two daughters; Emma Katherine B. Sarvis of Leland, NC and Jerri Lynne Boswell of Franklinton, NC, a son; William Eric Boswell of Whiteville, four grandchildren; Erica Lynn Gore, William Cole Boswell, Jennifer Marie Boswell, and Brandi Nicole Waters, and eight great grandchildren; Ned John-Seth Fowler, Adam Jason Carr, Anna Boswell, Evelyn Boswell, Audrey Grace Waters, Ava Lynn Gore, Isabella Gore, and Ari Anna Gore.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at the Boswell Family Cemetery with Rev. Willard McPherson officiating.
