Whiteville: Michael A. Nasso Jr., 61 of Whiteville died Monday, March 26,2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville.  He was the son of the late Michael A. Nasso, Sr. and Elaine Dora Meyers Nasso. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was an avid reader and he enjoyed spending time with his friends.
Survivors include his brother,  Bill Nasso of Far Hills, N.J.
A special thank-you to his caregiver, Julie M. Strickland of Whiteville, N.C. and two special friends, Pam Long of Clarkton, N.C. and Alice Faye Watts of Clarendon ,N.C.
A Graveside service will be Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.at  the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery  with Father Joe Yaeger officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Lower Caper Fear Hospice Center @ 206 Warrior Trail Whiteville, N.C.
Active Pallbearers will be former and present members of the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

Michael was a big part of my life and he was loved by family as well as a lot of friends.He was a very loved person to many and will be missed in many many ways. Also you will always be in my heart with my love my Michael. Love you always Alice

Michael was such a special man loved by many. Always enjoyed him in special Olympic events and his visits to the recreation office

Michael was loved by all who knew him. I enjoyed having him in our class and especially appreciated his love for reading! He will be missed. Please accept my sincere condolences.
