Donald was Erik's mentor at the Boys & Girls Homes for many years. He was one of the finest and nicest men either of us has ever known. He taught Erik many skills in maintenance and continued to visit Erik over the years after his retirement. My father, Stuart Sherman, who was past CEO and President of the Boys & Girls Homes though very highly of Donald as an extremely valuable employee and friend. He will be sorely missed by us and especially Erik. Prayers for the family.

Mr Donald was a great friend and neighbor. I will always remember his friendship and the kindness he always showed me and my family. He was a generous man and it was easy to tell how devoted he was to his family. I will miss him.

I have very fond memories of Donald when we played together as young children on Honey Hill Road. I was first cousin to J.B. Bullard, Donald's cousin and we all had great times together during the 1950's. Donald was a good person and always kind to all of us. My sincere condolences to Donald's entire family. My last visit with Donald was when his mother died and I was able to attend the visitation.
