Whiteville:  Lewis B. Thompson, 64 of  Whiteville died Sunday , July 30,2017  at his residence. He is the son of  Rosalie Evans Thompson and the late Grady Lee Thompson and was preceded in death  by a daughter, Amanda Brooke Thompson and a son, Jason Gray Thompson. He worked with Wilco-Hess for over 10 years  and worked as a manager with the Columbus County  Solid Waste Division for over 15 years .
Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane Smith Thompson of Whiteville,N.C., daughter, Lindsey A. Thompson Cribb (Josh) of Cerro Gordo,N.C., Mother, Rosalie Evans Thompson of Myrtle Beach,S.C., brothers, Mike Thompson  (Kathy) of Calabash, N.C. and Ben Thompson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.. Four Grandchildren,  Taylor Thompson, Cameron Cribb , Christian Cribb and Josie Cribb.
Funeral Service will Wednesday, August  2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev.  Heath Conner officiating with burial following in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at McKenzie Mortuary  from 7:00 p.m.  until 9:00 p.m.

My hearts breaks for you Martha. I just learned of this tonight. Ron and I are praying for you and your family. I love you my friend.....Lewis was a great person. He will be greatly missed.
