Whiteville: Jesse Colen Creech, 75 of the White Marsh Community died Sunday June 18,2017. He was the son of the late Alfred James Creech and Annie Mae Sykes Creech and was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Lamar Creech, Sr.  and two brothers, William Creech and James Creech. He served in the U.S. Army for twenty years during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He also worked with the U.S. Postal Service for over 20 years. Also he was a member of the Concerned Bikers Association.
Survivors include his wife; Lucy Dores Creech of the home. Three sons;  David James Creech of Whiteville, N.C. , Jerry Delane Creech of Augusta, Ga. and Robert Allen Creech of Whiteville, N.C. daughters; Lucy Amelia Jones of Whiteville, N.C and Juanita Long of Lee's Lake, two sisters; Patsy C. Eason of Whiteville, N.C. and Sherry C. Jordan of Abbottsburg, N.C., brother; Phillip Dale “Pink” Creech of Whiteville, N.C.. a special granddaughter; Keisha Nicole Creech of New York., 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A  Memorial service will be Wednesday, June 21,2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Darryll Hester officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday night June 20,2017 at McKenzie Mortuary  from 7:00 -9:00 p.m.. Memorials may be made to : Veteran Memorial Park @ P.O. Box 1003,  Whiteville, N.C. 28472.

Jesse was a proud member of 5th Maintenance Battalion having served in Vietnam with us. We will miss you at the Reunions Brother!!!! See you up there.....

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Jesse. I did not know him well but we were connected by the VietNam era and since at reunions. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends.

I didn't know Jesse well, we both served with the 5th Maintenance Battalion in Vietnam, although at different times. He will be missed at our reunions. Rest In Peace, Brother.
